Thanks Alex, I'm looking forward to it.

If you happen to read this, can solve a little riddle for me? I know that Guild Wars chapters are being made by two teams, and that there's about a year of development for each Chapter, but how did that work for Nightfall?

It's been 18 months since Prophecy, did this team work for the whole 18 months on Nightfall? Did they do the Sorrow's Furnace and other updates for Prophecy? Or, did they just get some time off

Not really that important, just curious.

there was an interview (and other posts) stating Nightfall started 6 month after release of GW ( October of 05) giving the end of October 06 the 1 year mark on it

Will nightfall offer enough stuff to entertain us?

YES! It promises, at least theoretically, to be the best PvE experience in Guild Wars world.

This is the description of Nightfall in http://www.gameplay.co.uk/

Every Hero has a unique tale to tell. Player actions will result in dramatic consequences. Your party becomes an extension of your character. This is Guild Wars like you've never seen before.

Features:

Customizable Heroes (party NPCs) that level up with the player; follow player instructions in combat, and use armor, weapons, and skills at the player's discretion.

A new game type, Hero vs. Hero Battles will allow a single player to participate in PvP with Hero NPCs.

2 new professions: The Dervish, a scythe-wielding holy warrior, and the Paragon, chosen by the gods as guardian angels of the Elonian people.

4 new guild halls.

300 new skills.

250 Quests, 55 explorable areas, 20 new Story Missions exclusive to choices made throughout the game, and 3 new Challenge Missions.

Peerless online RPG action with no monthly fees!
Nightfall is a new stand alone campaign - there is no need to buy the 2 previous campaigns to play.

As for Factions, this new world will be connected to Tyria and Cantha and players (who already own GW prophecies and/or Factions) will be able to bring their high level characters from other campaigns to this new part of the GW world; Elona.
I was just crying of happines when a guildie pointed out a crucial issue: 20 new Story Missions exclusive to choices made throughout the game. Does it mean that you cannot do all 20 but just the ones according to your choices? Oh oh i dont like to have the number of PvE missions reduced to the size of Factions (ie 13).

Please give me 20 missions!

BTW - Thanks Alex for the post. I am looking forward to Nightfall. It looks to be a big hit to us PvEers!

I laughed my guts out when u said ur don't wanna quit on your friends. If they are your friends, you got their email. You can stay in touch.

If they r just plain guild wars palls, why feel guilty?

I have been playing Guild Wars for about a year now since it first came out when I was overseas, I played it constantly every night even played some missions that were very kool over and over again, now that I'm back in the

states I play less.....here are some of my reasons.....I figured by now GW would of evolved into something more, instead of the same stuff, for example...why can't we ride dragons yet, or horses, or for that matter any

animal at all, fly a griffon around, get on boats, OR the worst get into taverns, none of the doors work that is frustrating, why can't you go into a tavern sit down and have some ale while you trade or just talk, too me this is

unacceptable, some other annoying things are when you can't jump a little bump because of the graphics, geez you can't even climb down a little hill, comeon, they should learn from oblivion, theres not enough options for your

character either, what we cant grow ur cut our hair, gain weight, change our skin color, eye color.....this game bores me, I plan to buy nightfall only because i want to have the whole collection but if GW wants to keep there fanbase big, they have to be diverse and change there game A LOT i would

say that factions changed like only 10% more than Prophecies, thats not enough AN not enough at all....and here's my last one, what is up with not seeing anyone still but your team, make the world bigger and grander so that we can see everyone, if your worried about more people getting together and

beating the game outside of the cities then make it harder...right now AN thinks they have the marker cornered because of there free gameplay online but if D&D gets larger and better, I wouldnt hesitate to go to D&D and pay

for a better game in no time.....out

First, don't double post. Second, what's up with your spacing?

Third: D&D Online over Guild Wars? Ok, whatever floats your boat. Does D&D have all the elements you talk about? (Mounts, climbing, jumping, customized weight and eye color, etc).

If you want to pay a monthly fee to get those features, fine. Of course, I would never pay monthly fees for a game, but that's just me.

EDITED to fix bold. See how easy that was?!? You guys can DELETE your double posts, too!!!

Go to "Edit", hit "Delete", and ceck the box (yes, you really do want to delete), and voila! You made me happy!

Double posting is cauzed by failed to load mssges this laggy site gives... very annoying, so I understand that completely.

I agree with mordakai on the monthly payment thing.. i got the cash for it, but i just wont pay over and over again to play a game... common, why do you think im not playing WoW?

Owh and everybody listen to tejano, because he is sooooo rite about the "free" gameplay thing, guild wars feels like a game and at the same time a prison, it has limited "freedom".
Even though its a corpg, they should have given us atleast some freedom..

i cant answer that since it looks like you and tejano want to turn GW into wow free.
GW is set up this way on purpose so play THIS game or find some other game you enjoy instead of saying how wrong this game is according to what your opinion is

if it is a prison you can make a jail break at any time by playing something else.

GW was intentionally made different so get used to it or vote with your wallet.

as for *completing the set* were you aware chapter 4 is already well under way?

It's very easy, and a good thing to do.

Sarcasm, I hope? You really think jumping, climbing and mounts make a game?

Hell, in WoW, you can't even fly mounts freely, you're on a "train" from what I understand.

So, no, I don't see how GW is a "prison."

Guild wars us a good game and when i get bored with GW i play WoW for a few days and get bored with the lvling in a few days.Yes mounts are nice and so is the ability to swim and jump. Give GW time.I enjoy the GW pvp much more.I am going to buy NF for sure. One day we might have the ability to to swim and jump just give it time. And if u cant wait then enjoy WoW.

all i can remember you doing is complaining how disappointing GW is.

if i had a tenth the complaints you do i would be long gone to something i liked better which i had fun playing.

do all of us including yourself a big favor and take an 8 month break until chapter 4 comes out and see how the game looks then.

the steady negative drumbeat is getting a bit boring

that is if anet even makes it to chapter 4! I am pretty sure if nightfall is not soild this time. anet will not ever make a come back on this one.

Not sure if i want to come back to a pvp focused game. If I did I would get huxley! bio-ware is coming out with pretty good content I could see them eating up the market!

You make it sound like Factions was such a failure that Anet is already on borrowed time.

So, tell me, how do you post from the universe next door?

Obviously not, people will hate it and stop playing GW all together.

That's what I think.
